Nature Activity Book for Families — Outdoor Crafts & DIY Projects

I was excited to see a book on activities to do with children regarding using natural items. My husband nd I do classes to connect children with nature. We decided to have a few classes on children making toys. We did a class with children making a walking sticks using a potato pealer to remove the bark. We were amazed to see how the children enjoyed this activity. Wrapping yarn was difficult for them. We decided to make more activities with wrapping and making knots. We did used your idea for stick people, but expanded it to show different ways to wrap the yarn. We also did a log wraft with wrapping of the yarn not using rubberbands. We have just finished putting together a hand drum. with this activity lerning how to make a hole, still wrapping and sewing. The children love this type of work. I would like to see more ideas helping children learn basic skills that they can use to create things on their own.
